Gaming Technical Section
The Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division Technical Section is tasked with ensuring that
all gaming devices and gaming systems adhere strictly to Louisiana laws and regulations. They track
and monitor all legal gaming devices throughout their life cycle from the time they enter the state.
They are on the gaming floors of the Louisiana casinos daily inspecting machines, checking for signs
of tampering, and confirming that these devices use only approved software which meets Louisiana’s
payout requirements.
