Trooper Jason Bourgeois Lifesaving Award Trooper Jason Bourgeois was off-duty at his residence when a neighbor knocked on the door in need of assistance. Trooper Bourgeois went to the neighbor's house where a female was on the floor having a seizure. She then stopped breathing. Trooper Bourgeois immediately began CPR and re-established a pulse, but the patient still could not breathe. Trooper Bourgeois continued rescue breathing until EMS arrived. The patient was transported to the hospital where she recovered. As a recent graduate of the State Police Academy, Trooper Bourgeois showed great poise and skill as he saved the life of another.
