Simunition

This three-day (24 hour) course of instruction is designed to provide students hands-on experience with SIMUNITION® FX® training ammunition technology, weapons, conversion kits, and the SIMUNITION® line of protective equipment. Additionally this course will provide in-depth, hands-on instruction on scenario-based training program development and training methodology and will give critical practical experience to students on how to best utilize SIMUNITION® training products in a highly effective, realistic, extremely safe training program. The course covers liability issues and court cases concerning reality-based training. Graduates will receive a factory certification which is good for 3 years. Re-Certification can be accomplished by attending the first two days of any class at a reduced rate of $295.00.

Location:	Louisiana State Police Joint Emergency Services Training Center (JESTC) 1400 West Irene Rd. Zachary La. 70791
Training Hours:	8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Course Fees:	$595.00 per Law Enforcement officer/ $495.00 for Military personnel
Dress Code:	The first day will be spent in the classroom in casual clothing. The remaining two days will be spent conducting scenario-based training. Students should bring all of their duty operational equipment which they would normally wear. Athletic cup style groin protector (mandatory), duty-belt, handcuffs with keys, appropriate footwear, seasonal clothing, long sleeved BDUs, protective gloves, notebook and pen. Uniforms are not required. Simunition will provide training pistols, basic protective mask and throat protection, all training ammunition as well as training aides.

Airport	The nearest airport to the JESTC training facility is the Baton Rouge Metro Airport which is approximately 6 miles south of the training facility.
Confirmation:	You will receive a confirmation package with additional information and directions to the training site.
