Discreet Physical Surveillance
This class has been cancelled due to lack of enrollment. We will be offering the class again at a later date.
This course is provided by PKW & Associates in conjunction with the Louisiana State Police. The course is designed for those who will be involved in discrete physical surveillance in a covert capacity and includes two hours of lecture, four practical application exercises, and four verbal feedback sessions. Each student will participate in four different scenarios.
This course was developed for local law enforcement with the assistance of the FBI Academy and the FBI Washington DC Field Office.

- Basic Fundamentals of Surveillance
- Team Dynamics of Surveillance
- The Art of Being Undetected
- Aspects of Mobile, Foot and Aerial Surveillance
- Techniques of Counter-Surveillance - Knowing Who is Watching You
NOTE: Students must provide their own unmarked vehicle for training.

| Instructors |
Walter Mobley
Walter is the supervisor of a Covert Surveillance Squad with the Dallas Police Department. He is an instructor at the Dallas Police Academy and has worked in the SWAT Unit and was an original member of the DPD Gang Unit. He is a 23 year veteran of the Dallas Police Department.
Paul Hinton
Paul is a supervisor at the Dallas Police Basic Academy. His 18 year career has been spent in Patrol and Narcotics, where he worked in an undercover capacity. As an instructor Paul has been teaching for the past 6 years in the areas of police driving, defensive tactics and surveillance.
Kevin Navarro
Kevin has been with the Dallas Police Department for 27 years and assigned to the Academy for the past 11 years. He spent 7 years as a Homicide Detective where he was introduced to physical surveillance. He has taught throughout the U.S. the past 10 years for NHTSA, ALERT International and has assisted in training programs at the FBI Academy and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA. |
