Regions of Patrol

Louisiana currently has nine State Police Troops, each of which is comprised of a collection of Louisiana's 64 parishes (the rather unique Louisiana analog of counties). These troops are grouped into three regions. Together, these regions are commanded by a State Police major and come under the administration of a regional headquarters. Each of the nine troops is commanded by a State Police captain.
