Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command - Baton Rouge, LA

In coordination with the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office, the department is hosting the Northwestern School of Police Staff & Command at the Louisiana State Police Training Academy in the fall of 2024. The course will be a 5 weeks on – 2 weeks off – 5 weeks on format and will run from September 3, 2024 through November 22, 2024.

The School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) is an intensive 10-week program that prepares law enforcement managers for senior command positions by uniquely combining academic principles with practical applications. SPSC is intended for supervisory personnel with at least two years of supervisory experience capable of completing university level coursework.

2024 LAIAI Conference Lafayette, LA May 21-23, 2024

The Louisiana Division of the International Association for Identification (LAIAI) will be hosting its 78th Annual Educational Conference on May 21-23 (Tues-Thurs), 2024. The 2024 conference will be hosted in Lafayette, LA.

Our goal is to provide law enforcement and lab analysts in our state, and surrounding states, with the best possible training around! LAIAI is made up of over 100 members from several disciplines in law enforcement and forensic science, including Crime Scene Investigators, Fingerprint Examiners, Jail/Booking Personnel,, Photographers, Evidence Custodians, Uniform Patrol Officers, and many others.

Don't Fear the Darkside: Impaired Driving Enforcement and Education

Presented by Integrated Impaired Driving Solutions, LLC.

This is a two-day (16 hour) interactive course designed for law enforcement officers and prosecutors. During this course, participants will receive training on how individuals think and learn, how to testify under direct and cross examination, theme development for prosecutors and how to build successful cases. This course will include practical application scenarios where participants will be evaluated by instructors.
